With the COVID-19 pandemic, things are feeling a bit different here in Spain. With no football this weekend, 18 of the 20 LaLiga clubs took part in a fundraising FIFA 20 tournament, with different players representing each club. Manu Morlanes was the man who stepped up for Villarreal and reached the quarter-finals, beating Valencia on the way. The midfielder has spoken about the tournament, how he’s training at home and what he’s doing to pass the time. Read that here.

This Saturday, there will also be a big event that will be streamed online called LaLiga Santander Fest. Like all top-flight clubs in Spain, Villarreal will be involved, as will a number of famous singers from across the world. More details here.

We’ve also launched a social media campaign for fans to name their all-time Villarreal historic XI. Look out for posts and let us know who you’d pick. More details here.

On the website, there is also a feature on one of our U11 sides, Alevín D. Read that here.

And as we’ve been doing throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been looking back at historical players, teams and moments from Villarreal’s history. We’ve had a look at Diego Forlán, one of the finest goalscorers in the Yellows’ history (here) and also at the club’s first ever win in the top flight in Spain (here).
