PHOTO OF THE DAY: Villarreal prepare for the start of LaLiga

We’re nearly here! The LaLiga 2020/21 season kicks off this weekend, and Villarreal are in action on Sunday. The Yellows take on SD Huesca at the Estadio de la Cerámica at 6:30pm CEST so make sure you watch that. Manager Unai Emery has been speaking to the press before the game and you can read what he had to say here.

Meanwhile the shirt numbers for the upcoming season have been confirmed, with new arrivals Dani Parejo, Gero Rulli, Take Kubo and Francis Coquelin taking 5, 13, 16 and 19 respectively. Get the full list here.

Rulli was also officially unveiled as a Villarreal player this week — check out his press conference here.

We have had some disappointing news, as it has been confirmed that Alberto Moreno will miss at least six months due to injury. More here.

Despite the uncertainty with COVID-19, we’ve now sold more than 10,000 season tickets for the upcoming season. Read more here.

And finally, we also this week continued our relationship with local youth football club Mislata UF. More here.
