To start this round-up, we have some terrible news. Former Villarreal B (Villarreal U23s) attacker Franco Acosta has passed away in Uruguay. Everyone connected to Villarreal CF would like to send their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. Read about his time at the club here.

Villarreal had a disappointing Friday night in LaLiga, losing 2–1 to Valencia. Gerard Moreno scored for the Yellows, in what was his 15th in LaLiga this season. Read the match report here and see Unai Emery’s verdict here.

There was however, an impressive win for Villarreal B. Haissem Hassan and Álex Millan scored as the Mini Submarine overcame Hércules to move into the play-off positions in Segunda B. And in our last look at the weekend just gone by, we have the weekly Endavant Esports round-up here, with more impressive athletics feats from Villarreal Women’s Salma Paralluelo.

All focus at the club is now on the upcoming week, with two big games. First up this Thursday is a trip to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kyiv, before Sunday’s LaLiga game away to Eibar. See the schedule here.

Ahead of that busy week, Raúl Albiol has been speaking to the press. See what he’s had to say here.
