Villarreal continued their good run, and are now up to seventh in the table after beating Osasuna 3–1, thanks to a debut goal from Paco Alcácer, Rubén Peña’s first goal for the club, and Santi Cazorla’s 11th of the season. As always, that wasn’t the only game involving a Villarreal side this weekend. Villarreal U23s (Villarreal B) picked up an impressive 4–1 win over UE Llagostera thanks to goals from Edu Espiau (2), Rafa Mújica and Diego Collado. Two Yellows Academy players have also been crowned Copa del Atlántico champions with Spain U18s. Yeremi Pino and Aitor Gelardo played in the final game of the tournament, which saw the Spanish side beat Mexico 6–0, with Pino scoring the first goal of the game. Read more about that here.
